Paranormal Palace: Denver's Halloween hotel takeover
DoubleTree by Hilton Denver Tech Center, Greenwood Village. 8 PM to 1 AM. The 17th annual: an 8,000 square foot haunted-forest ballroom, a multi-level atrium, three DJs, 20+ performers and Colorado's largest one-night costume contest with $2,500 in cash and prizes. 21+, costumes mandatory.

White Rose Gala: Denver's New Year's Eve at The Ritz-Carlton
1881 Curtis Street, Denver. 8 PM to 1 AM. The 24th annual Gatsby-style gala: live band and theatrics, aerialists, a champagne toast at midnight, and rooms upstairs so the night ends in the elevator. Dress to impress. 21+.

Denver Mardi Gras: the hotel takeover
DoubleTree by Hilton Denver Tech Center. Doors 7 PM. The last great night of Carnival season: beads from the balconies, brass echoing through the atrium, DJs on every floor, and a VIP open bar. Atrium rooms sell out before tickets do. 21+.

Denver Derby Day at The Ritz-Carlton
Doors 1 PM, after party 5 to 8 PM. The Kentucky Derby, elevated Mile High style: hats and sundresses, mint juleps, the race on 10-foot screens, two dance floors and DJs all day and night. 21+.

The Jammy Jam: a grown-up sleepover at The Church
The Church Nightclub, 1160 Lincoln Street, Denver. A pajama costume contest, aerialists and fire performers under the stained glass. The next date is announced to the Members Club before anyone else.
